Making life multiplanetary
SpaceX had just landed their first reusable rockets when I helped craft some of the early design elements that they would use to communicate to the world. Now they lead in low Earth orbit launches with the latest versions of those reliable, reusable rockets and are full speed ahead in their mission to put humans on Mars.
Introducing…
Getting the public as excited about what SpaceX was attempting relied on an open approach to talking about the technology. I created custom video interstitials to run behind presentation stages during announcements and at the Hawthorn headquarters on three 15’x10’ vertical displays.

      Launch
The flight overlay took the combined talents of multiple teams, the illusion of live telemetry, and hundreds of simulated flights to get right before we added it to the feed. It quickly became one of the most talked about features of each launch livestream. Over the first six months we went from just the initial middle timeline, to adding speed, altitude, g-forces, and engine status - all fed from live data thanks to starlink.
